# Account & email settings

Update your name, email, timezone, and password, and manage notification preferences from your ProductiveRecruit account settings page.

Your account settings page is where you manage the basics: your name, email, phone, timezone, and password. Athletes, staff, and admins all land on the same page, though a few fields only show up depending on your role.

## Account Settings

This is the main card, and everyone sees it. Fill it out and hit **Save**:

- **First Name** and **Last Name** (required)
- **Email** (required, must be unique, and it's also your login)
- **Phone** (optional)
- **Timezone** is a required dropdown (Chicago/CST is the default if you haven't set one) that controls how dates and reminders display for you
- **Default Sport**: staff and admins only; sets the default sport in the college search tool
- **Account Name**: only visible to account owners; renames your organization's account
- **Profile photo**: staff and admins only; athletes manage their photo from their profile instead

Saving shows a confirmation toast. If something goes wrong, you'll see an error and can try again. Nothing is lost from the form.

## Notification settings

Athletes get an extra card here: a **Profile view notifications** toggle. Turn it on and you'll get notified any time a coach views your profile. It's off by default. This is separate from public visibility of your profile fields. That's covered in [Profile privacy & visibility](/docs/profile/privacy-and-visibility).

## Security settings

Change your password from the **Security Settings** card: enter your current password, then your new password twice, and save. You'll need your current password to confirm the change — there's no way around that step.

Changing your email address happens right in the Account Settings form above rather than through a separate flow. Just update the field and save.

## Deleting your account

At the bottom of this page, standalone athlete accounts see a **DANGER ZONE** card with a **Delete Account** button. This permanently deletes your account and everything tied to it — there's no undo. Organization staff, admins, and org-affiliated athletes don't get this option here; see [Deleting your account](/docs/billing/delete-account) for the full details and what to do instead.

## What's next

- Review what's public on your profile in [Profile privacy & visibility](/docs/profile/privacy-and-visibility).
- Update your card, view invoices, or cancel in [Billing](/docs/billing/billing).
