# Profile not in the team directory

Learn why your profile might be missing from your team's public roster and how to get it fixed by your coach or admin.

If your name isn't showing up on your team's public roster page, it's almost always a visibility toggle your coach or team admin controls, not a bug in your account.

## Why this happens

Your team's public directory only shows athletes who meet all of the following:

1. **You're listed as an athlete on the team** — not a coach, manager, or other staff role.
2. **Your profile is toggled to show** — a team admin or coach controls this from the roster management view, where each athlete has an **Included on profile** column with a green check or red x. This is the #1 cause of a missing profile, and it's not something you can toggle yourself.
3. **Your account hasn't been deleted or removed from the team** — removed accounts never appear.
4. **You have a completed athlete profile** for the sport tied to that team. An account with no profile filled in for that sport won't show, even if you're on the roster.

Being committed or signed to a program doesn't remove you from the directory. That's shown as additional info on your listing, not a reason to hide you.

## What to check

- Ask your coach or team admin to check the **Included on profile** column for your name on the roster management page. If it shows a red x, they can use **Show on team profile** to fix it.
- Confirm you've built out an [athlete profile](/docs/profile/building-your-profile) for the sport connected to that team. An empty profile won't display.
- Double-check your account role on the team is **Athlete**, not staff.
- If you were recently removed and re-added to the team, ask your admin to confirm you weren't accidentally left hidden.

This same show/hide toggle exists for coaches and staff on the team, so if a staff member's listing is missing, the same fix applies.
