# Your public profile page

See how your ProductiveRecruit profile looks to college coaches, how the shareable link and QR code work, and how to preview or print it.

Everything you build in the profile editor (academics, stats, videos, offers) comes together on one public page. This is the page you send to coaches, so it's worth knowing exactly what's on it and who can see what.

## Your profile's URL

Your public profile lives at `/profile/your-name-sport` — a slug built from your name and sport when you sign up. You don't need to set this up; it's ready as soon as your account is created.

## The hero

The top of your profile is built to answer a coach's first questions without any scrolling:

- **Your photo**, name, and a verified check if your account is verified. Click the photo to open it full size.
- **Chips** for your sport, your status (**Searching** or **Committed**), and your recruit type when it adds something (transfers, international athletes).
- **Grad year** (or **Transfer**) and your primary and secondary positions.
- **Committed to**, with the college's logo and name, once you've set a commitment. See [Commitment](/docs/profile/commitment).
- **Quick stats**: height, weight, and GPA, plus your club, high school, and home city.
- A **Contact** button that jumps straight to your contact info, shown only when your contact details are public.
- **Your featured video**, sitting right next to all of it. See [Adding & featuring videos](/docs/profile/videos).

## The jump nav

Below the hero is a sticky pill nav (**Video**, **Contact**, **Athletic**, **Academic**, **Photos**) that stays with the coach as they scroll, so any section is one click away. Links only appear for sections you actually have, so a profile without photos doesn't show a Photos link.

## The sections, top to bottom

1. **Video**: every video you've added in a grid. Clicking one opens it in a player without leaving the page.
2. **Offers**: colleges that have offered, each with its logo and offer status.
3. **Contact**: your contact card, plus any additional contacts like a club coach or parent.
4. **Athletic**: your teams and jersey numbers, your stats, athletic honors, [custom links](/docs/profile/links), and your [events](/docs/profile/events).
5. **Academic**: academic status (GPA, grad year, class rank, intended major, NCAA or NAIA eligibility number), test scores, academic honors, and extracurricular activities.
6. **About Me**: your bio.
7. **Photos**: a grid of your photos. Coaches click any tile to open a full-size lightbox and move through the rest with the arrow keys.

Sections with nothing in them don't show up at all, so there's no empty-state clutter. What's visible in the **Academic**, **Athletic**, and **Contact** sections also depends on your [privacy settings](/docs/profile/privacy-and-visibility).

### Two details worth knowing

**Your stats group themselves.** Depending on your sport, stats sort into **Measurables**, **Performance**, and **Details**, with height, weight, and dominant hand or foot folded into Measurables. If everything lands in one group, the headings are dropped and you just get a clean list. Yes or no stats answered "No" are left off, since they tell a coach nothing. **Events lead with what's upcoming.** Only upcoming events show by default, with past ones tucked behind a **Show past events** toggle. If you have nothing upcoming, past events are shown instead so the section is never empty.

## The link you share always shows everything

This is the part that trips people up: your privacy toggles only affect the plain profile URL — the version search engines index, or a link someone builds without your knowledge. The link you actually get from the **Share** tab (and the one on your QR code and social share buttons) carries a special parameter that shows the *complete* profile to whoever opens it, regardless of your privacy settings.

In other words: turning a field to "hidden" doesn't hide it from a coach you send your link to — it only hides it from people browsing without a direct link. Review [privacy and visibility](/docs/profile/privacy-and-visibility) before you assume something's locked down.

## Preview it like a coach would

Want to see your full profile before you send it? Open the **Preview** link in the editor. It shows every field regardless of privacy settings, with a banner reminding you it's for your eyes only — don't send the preview link to coaches; use the Share tab link instead.

## Print a coach-ready résumé

Your profile also has a print/PDF layout — a condensed, one-page résumé with a QR code back to your shareable link, your contact and academic info on one side and athletic info on the other. If you're printing it, set the paper size to Letter for the cleanest layout.
