# Printable rosters & QR codes

Generate tournament-ready roster printouts with per-athlete QR codes coaches can scan to jump straight to a player's recruiting profile.

Every team on ProductiveRecruit can generate a printable roster straight from the browser: no design software, no PDF exports to manage. Hand a coach a paper roster at a tournament or camp, and a QR code on every athlete takes them straight to that player's live recruiting profile.

## Where to print from

Printable rosters live on the same team **share** page you use to grab the team's shareable link. Open a team, go to its share page, and you'll see a **Download** section with two buttons: **Print (full)** and **Print (compact)**. Each opens the roster in a new tab and triggers your browser's print dialog. There's no separate "generate PDF" step, and nothing is saved or cached, so the roster always reflects your current athletes and their latest profile info.

Set your paper size to **Letter** before printing for the cleanest layout, and the more complete your athletes' profiles are, the better the printout looks. Empty fields just print blank.

## Full vs. compact

- **Print (full)** — a detailed, letter-sized layout (10 athletes per page) with jersey number, name, grad year, position, height/weight, email (unless an athlete has marked contact info private), and a GPA/ACT/SAT line. Committed athletes show the college logo and "Committed to {school}." Everyone else gets a few blank lines, handy for coaches jotting notes in person.
- **Print (compact)** — a tighter grid view of the same roster, one page, better for a quick scan or a table handout.

Both formats include your organization's logo alongside the ProductiveRecruit logo, plus your first two staff members listed at the bottom.

## QR codes, at two levels

Every printout carries a **team-level QR code** at the top that encodes the team's own share link. Scan it and you land on the full public team profile, filters and all. Every athlete on the roster also gets their **own QR code** pointing straight to their individual public profile, so a coach can scan one player instead of hunting through a roster page. Both codes are generated on the fly and embedded directly in the printout — there's no separate image file to download or manage.

Commitment status is shown, but the exact visual treatment differs slightly between formats: the compact view grays out committed athletes with a badge, while the full view swaps in the college name and logo. Either way, a coach scanning a committed athlete's code still lands on their live profile.

## What's next

- Set up the roster itself first in [Team profiles](/docs/team-tools/team-profiles).
- Put the same roster on your own website with [Website embeds & athlete directory](/docs/team-tools/website-embeds).
- Showcase your program's commitments beyond the printout in [Committed athletes showcase](/docs/team-tools/committed-showcase).
