Your target list is the working shortlist of schools you're actually recruiting toward: every program you add here shows up with a status, tags, and contact history so you always know where things stand.
Add a school to your list
From College search or a program's profile page, click the heart icon to add it. The school lands on your list with a default status of Researching, and the "Add to List" modal opens right away so you can set its status and up to three tags before moving on.
The Target List table shows each school's rank badge, name, division, status, last contacted date, and tags. Removing a school (heart icon again) deletes it from your list entirely. It doesn't archive, so re-add it if you change your mind.
Set status and tags
Every target moves through a recruiting pipeline — Researching, To Contact, Initial Contact Sent, In Contact, Campus Visit, Offered, Committed, Signed, Not Interested, or Not Offered. Change it from a target's row menu (Change Status) or right from the program profile page. See Tracking status for what each stage means.
Tags help you organize beyond the pipeline — things like "Dream School" or "Safety." Add up to three per target from the row menu (Edit tags), and manage your full tag list in Tags & prioritization.
Removing a school deletes it outright, with no undo. If you just want it out of your way rather than gone, set its status to Not Interested instead. It stays on the list with its history intact and you can filter it out of view.
Filter and search your list
Use the Filters popover to narrow by division, status, tags (up to three at once), or last contacted — options range from "In the last week" to "Never contacted." The search box matches by school name.
Re-rank by priority
If you have more than one target, a Re-rank button lets you drag and drop schools into priority order. While re-ranking, the list shows everything unpaginated so you can see the full picture. Click Done re-ranking when you're finished, and your order saves immediately.
Know your list size limit
- On the free trial, standalone athletes can add up to 10 schools. Subscribing to Recruit Pro removes the cap entirely.
- Athletes in an organization without an active subscription are capped at 5 schools. An admin needs to upgrade the org for unlimited access.
- Everyone else (paid athlete accounts, or athletes in an org on a paid plan) has no limit.
If you hit the cap, you'll see a toast explaining why the add didn't go through. Check Trials for details.
