Tasks keep your recruiting to-do list attached to the schools you're actually talking to: follow up with a coach, send a thank-you after a call, whatever needs doing next. Set a due date once and ProductiveRecruit reminds you before it slips.
Create a task
From a college program's page, open the Add task modal (it becomes Edit task when you're revising one). Fill in:
- Description — what you need to do, up to 250 characters.
- Due date — when it's due.
- A college program picker, if you're not already on that program's page.
Save it and it shows up right away in that program's task list. If the school wasn't already on your list, creating a task for it automatically adds it to your target list with a status of "Researching," one less step to track schools you're actively working.
Where to find your tasks
- Each college program page has its own task list (description, due date, who created it, and completion status) with search and an All/Incomplete/Complete filter.
- The global Tasks page pulls every task across every program into one place, with the same filters plus a Program column so you can see what's linked to what.
- Your dashboard shows a "Tasks to address" table of anything due in the next three days, with a link to the full Tasks page.
Completing a task
Check it off from any task list. That marks it complete, logs a "Completed Task" entry in your activity feed, and drops it off your dashboard's due list. Uncheck it and the activity entry disappears too, so nothing lingers if you change your mind.
Reminders
You don't set a reminder lead time yourself. Instead, ProductiveRecruit runs one check every morning: if you have tasks due that day or overdue and not yet completed, you get a single email listing all of them, plus an in-app notification. There's no "remind me a few days early" setting — the dashboard's three-day lookahead table is what covers that kind of visibility. See Notifications for how alerts work across the rest of the product.
If you're part of a team account, a coach or admin can also assign a task to you directly, and you're notified the same way. Checklist steps are a related but separate system built for structured, multi-step programs, with their own due-date logic. See Checklists.
