ProductiveRecruit caps how many emails you can send in a day and, depending on your plan, over the life of your account. These limits exist to protect your Gmail address (coaches trust email that behaves like a real person sending it, not a mass blaster), so staying under them is what keeps your messages landing in inboxes instead of spam folders.
Your daily sending limit
You can send up to 150 emails per day, combined across single emails and campaigns. The day resets at midnight Central time, and any email that's actively sending — not just ones that have fully gone out — counts against the limit right away. If you hit the cap, ProductiveRecruit lets you know you've hit today's limit and offers to save your message as a draft to send tomorrow.
Lifetime limits by plan
Separate from the daily cap, your plan sets how many emails you can send in total:
| Plan | Emails |
|---|---|
| Trial | 10 |
| Paid Pro | Unlimited (daily cap still applies) |
| Trial or subscription lapsed | 1 |
Whichever number is smaller (what's left of your daily 150 or what's left of your plan total) is what actually caps you at any given moment. That's why a trial account can hit its lifetime limit well before ever bumping into the daily one. Once you're on Pro, the lifetime cap goes away and only the daily 150 remains. If you're getting close, upgrading is the fix.
Selecting recipients for a campaign is automatically clamped to whatever you have left, so you can't accidentally build a batch bigger than you're able to send.
When Gmail pauses your account
Gmail has its own sending limits behind the scenes. If Google temporarily rate-limits your account, ProductiveRecruit detects it and pauses sending until Google's cooldown period passes. You'll see a message letting you know sending is temporarily paused. This is Google-side, not a ProductiveRecruit limit, and it typically clears on its own.
If a send fails for a temporary reason — a rate limit, a brief Gmail outage, a connection hiccup — ProductiveRecruit retries automatically. Failures that mean something's actually wrong with the address or permissions are marked failed right away instead of retried, so you're not left wondering why nothing went out.
Gmail vs. your ProductiveRecruit address
You can send through your own connected Gmail account or through a fallback internal address. Gmail is the recommended option. Coaches respond better to email that comes from a real personal address, and it's what the sending limits above are built around.
