AI features come with a fair-usage cap, shared across everything on your account that uses AI. Here's how many you get and what happens when you run out.
How many you get
| Your status | AI generations | Resets |
|---|---|---|
| Athlete on a free trial | 5 total | Never renews, a lifetime cap for the trial |
| Athlete subscribed to Recruit Pro | 30 | 1st of every month |
| Athlete on a subscribed organization | 30 | 1st of every month |
| Athlete with no active subscription | 0 | Not available, subscribe to unlock AI |
A counter next to the generate button always shows where you stand, like "2 of 5 trial AI generations used."
What counts as one generation
Two things draw from the same allowance:
- Generating an email template with AI. Every completed generation counts, whether you keep the result or not, so regenerating for a different angle counts again.
- Importing a schedule from a CSV, photo, or PDF, either on an athlete's events or a team schedule. One import is one generation no matter how many events it pulls out.
This is separate from how many templates you can save. On a trial you're capped at 2 saved templates regardless of how they were made, so you can burn several generations refining one template and it still counts once against that cap.
When you hit the cap
The generate button disables. There's no overage charge and no soft block, just a hard stop with a message explaining where you stand: out of trial generations, AI not included on your current plan, or monthly cap reached and resetting next month.
Nothing else stops working. You can still create and edit templates manually and add events by hand, with no limit at all. The cap only applies to AI-assisted generation.
